  1. I mostly go for “rewatchability” – the Big Lebowski is great, but repeated viewings hold up better if you can find someone who hasn’t seen it before. I appreciate well-made atmospheric films like “Night of the Hunter”, but again, it’s not something I’d watch over and over.

    Bastard current top 6

    1. Meet the Feebles
    2. Dude where’s my Car
    3. A Night at the Opera
    4. Fight Club
    5. The Bank Dick
    6. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

  2. I’m bogarting the thread… bastard bottom 6 most unwatchable films

    1. The Little Mermaid
    2. White Chicks
    3. Across the Universe
    4. Christmas with the Kranks
    5. Wings of Desire
    6. Just like Heaven

  3. It is impossible for me to name 5 top films unless it were grouped into genre.

Though both lists are really good. Night of the Hunter and A Night at the Opera are definitely in my top 20.

Though as of this week, the Paul Lynde Halloween Special is on repeat!

  4. I have seen about 5 minutes of White Chicks and that was truly frightening, and I think I saw the trailer for Christmas with the Kranks…

I can watch Night of the Hunter over and over, mainly because it is so moody, and Mitchum gives one of the all time great performances…Fight Club usually makes it into my top 5 (not to mention one of my all time favorite movie lines: “self improvement is masturbation”), but I haven’t seen it in a while. A Night at the Opera is great too, tho I am more partial to Duck Soup, but that may be just because I am from Fredonia.

  5. 1) Casablanca
    2) The Graduate
    3) Singin’ in the Rain
    4) Taxi Driver
    5) Dancer in the Dark
    6) Pulp Fiction

(Why does the Paul Lynde Halloween Special sound like a throwaway Family Guy joke waiting to happen?)
